One Direction will make an estimated £70 million from their next tour, where they’ll be visiting MASSIVE stadiums around the world.
UK tickets went on sale yesterday and it only took around 30 minutes for tickets to sell out for the first few dates.
They will also be visiting South America, which is a first for the band.
Chris Edmonds of Ticketmaster UK said that the “queue” for people to buy tickets was maxed out at 200,000 – meaning there were 200,000 people waiting for the chance to grab some One Direction goodness.
He said:“If it had been a real one, it would have stretched from Wembley Stadium round the M25.”
Of course they will also make more cash from DVD sales, which have proven a very good move for the band.
Chris continued:“It is going to be yet another very profitable year for One Direction.”
Liam tweeted some love to the fans when the news of the tickets selling came out.”
He said:“Thank you so much everyone for making our wildest dreams come true.”
1D are due to bring the European leg of this year’s ‘Take Me Home’ tour to a close tonight with the final date in Lisbon, Portugal, capping off a remarkable first half of the year.
A welcome two week break then awaits the lads before they resume touring duties on Saturday 8th June in Mexico City.
